Happy Birthday Cole!

We celebrated Cole's birthday with a simple birthday dinner. He was outside, sitting next to Franny, with his very own basket of tater tots. And given the choice, I think that's exactly how he would have wanted it. Happy birthday sweet Cole!

Park season

I think park season has officially begun! There is that feeling in the air--it is time for us Oregonians to dry out and head outdoors. Finally able to join in the action, Cole is thrilled to leave his onlooker days behind and get out and play! Fortunately, we have a great neighborhood park that is close and convenient, complete with plush grass, a pond with ducks, and equipment for little guys like our little mover and shaker. Since we spend a lot of time here during the summer, I am so glad he seems to love it.

I find it very sweet that Franny likes to include Cole in her play. She loves to dress up in her ladybug outfit and then don her butterfly wings on Cole. These are probably pictures he'll want to burn later, but really--how can I resist?
